Kagadi
In a bid to fight poverty, the Kagadi district woman member of parliament Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi on Tuesday donated 1497 hoes, 127 saucepans and 254 dozens of plates to residents of 127 villages in Muhorro town council, Mpeefu and Muhorro sub counties.
The hoes were given to widows though some women pretended to have lost their husbands.
Local leaders were given certificates of recognition.
Janepher says she is committed to work with other leaders to ensure that poverty is kicked out in Kagadi district through promoting agriculture and other developmental projects.
It is from this point, residents and local leaders promised to support her in the forthcoming elections for the next term.
